Amber with Insects - Pendant #8

This is a large, truly unique Baltic amber pendant on a silver bail. As you can see, there are 3 big "long-legged flies" preserved by amber from the ancient times (40 million years ago) when amber was still sticky resin on pine trees and when those flies were trapped in it. Some plant particles can also be seen (stem).
